IHHN Holistic Health and Wellness EXPO is an opportunity for holistic health practitioners
and service providers to reach out to all people within the Indiana community
offering opportunities to ask questions, sample products, listen to speakers,
engage in conversation, experience hands on relaxation techniques such as massage
and Reiki. The potential for many to gain understandings of holistic therapies
and how these practices can assist in improving the general health and well-being
of themselves and their families. This event brings health professionals greater
visibility; educates people about alternative and holistic health opportunities
and services, prevention through lifestyle choices, and the many services and
resources available through the complementary providers within our communities.
Exhibits, healing arts
workshops with visual arts, music, poetry, storytelling - sound demonstrations,
screenings, etc., provide well-being opportunities to engage all of our senses.
This expo is a mutually supportive and valuable resource to our collective communities.
Our participation in this event, has the potential of bringing together thousands
of like-minded individuals to share our interest, ideas, knowledge, and passions
supporting and affirming our collective goals of actively contributing to the
making of communities strong of mind, spirit and body. Being
visable, it is easier for us to work together. Through our collective efforts
and expression of talents, we can envision and hope for a strong united holistic

resources, products, and talents and to connect in a way that would allow us to
explore avenues in which we may support the awareness of complementary and alternative
therapies and services and how we are a complement to current medical practices.

networking efforts and expression of talents, this event created a foundation
to support our common ground for us to build upon. The majority of our participants
were pleased with the event and have stated that they will return next year even
though the foot traffic was very slow, and others have plunged in offering to
help convene in 2007. Together, we will make Expo 2007 and our future events better

on, and we are already discussing Expo 2007 with new potential Sponsors and Community
Partners who have contacted us. Further, we have new practitioners and speakers
wanting to be considered for our next event! Working
together we know that we will be able to attract more attention to our next event.
Our intention then for 2007 will be to again take on no debt, organize a beautiful
interactive educational event with a Healing Sounds Concert as our fundraiser
and offer free admittance into the Expo Vendor area creating community accessibility.
And with enough sponsorship, we want to have free access to our speakers and workshops
presentations throughout the day. If

moves into the 21st Century there is more and more need, both as stewards of the
built environment and for sound business practices, to build environmentally balanced
and responsive structures. The focus of this presentation will be the discussion
of the design of a new Indiana University Research and Teaching Preserve Building
to be located within the Research Teaching Preserve on a site north of the University
Lake on the Bloomington Campus. The Building will be approximately 4,000 gross
square feet and contain four labs, one classroom and one office. Space will also

be sited to minimize disturbance of the site and its forested environment. Designed
to meet the criteria of Platinum rating, the highest level of certification by

passive solar energy collection, rainwater collection, composting toilets, green
